About the Florence Howling Huskies
The Florence Howling Husky Pride Marching Band is a highly competitive, award-winning high school band program based at Florence High School in Florence, Colorado. The ensemble has built a powerful reputation in the region, recognized for its consecutive state titles and a strong culture of musical and visual excellence.
🏆 Championship History & Records
The program has seen monumental success in the Colorado Bandmasters Association (CBA) circuit:
- Three-Time State Champions: The band won its third consecutive Class 1A State Championship title in late 2025.
- Record-Breaking Score: During their 2025 state title run, they swept every major category (music, visual, and general effect) to achieve a historic state-record score of 71.9.
- Historic Rise: The band captured its first historic state championship in October 2023 at CSU-Pueblo before successfully defending it in 2024 and 2025.
Florence Bands Boosters
The Florence Band Boosters are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which is devoted to supporting the band program in the Fremont RE-2 school district. After The Howling Husky Pride Marching Band finished their marching season in 2019 as the state runner up, a group of interested parents met and formed the Florence Band Boosters. Since 2018 the Florence High School Howling Husky Pride has been a consistent top 4 finisher in the state of Colorado, with three back-to-back state championships in 2023, 2024 & 2025.
Our mission is to provide logistical and financial support to allow our students to continue their pursuit of excellence. We also recognize the importance of preparing our younger band students to become engaged in the band program. Therefore, the Florence Band Boosters supports a high-quality instrumental music program that benefits all students in our district.
Our commitment to the band program is unwavering as we strive to enhance its quality each year. By nurturing talent and fostering growth, we are dedicated to creating a future of excellence to inspire generations to come.
